What is a “Chartered Club?”

Unlike caucuses, which are formed around shared identities or policy issues, clubs focus on specific neighborhoods, towns, or legislative districts.

Official Chartering: To use the "Democrat" or "Democratic" name, a club must be officially chartered and approved by its corresponding county Democratic Executive Committee (DEC) and the state party.

How do we use donations?

All money earned through membership fees and donations are used to support club meetings and events. Additionally, as a Democratic Club, we are allowed to donate a total of $500 to Democratic candidates each year (after primaries). All Board Members are volunteers; no money collected is paid to any person in our organization.

Our Mission

Improve the lives of Lake Nona residents by electing Democrats who support our values of equality, inclusiveness, fairness, and economic dignity by building the party from the ground up in every precinct.

What we’re here to do
